Here at Leake Audiology Services, helping people live well with better hearing is our goal. The Christmas season can be stressful at the best of times, but imagine trying to navigate the gatherings and visiting with a hearing loss…. isolation and withdrawal are real! We at Leake Audiology Services are always looking at ways to give back to the people of Southern Saskatchewan.

Brian was the lucky winner of our 2022 Gift of Hearing program.

The Gift of Hearing in 2021

As a new clinic in town, we made the decision to start by giving back. Since Candace has worked in Regina since 2007, she has seen the need to have the ability to provide lower cost or free hearing devices to those who need them. She was able to put out some advertising and asked for nominations! We announced that we would be accepting nominations for friends, loved ones, and even oneself, to be given the gift of better hearing through new, FREE hearing devices! Through likes and shares on Facebook, word spread, and the nominations poured in. Reading all of the reasons why folks were applying and how this gift would change their life was amazing. To make the choice of who was the lucky recipient, 5 individuals who are not part of the clinic reviewed the stories, and voted on which one would receive the new set of premium hearing aids. We were also able to provide very discounted hearing aids to two runners up.

Here are some photos of our first runner up, Vivianne being fit with her hearing devices.  A bubbly lady who loves to visit with family, dance and have fun!  She is now able to better participate and enjoy the sounds in her life.
